Special Group 10 year anniversary celebration.

We were honoured to be invited to join in the celebrations at the Special Group's 10 year anniversary. From the amazing venue to the fabulous food and cocktails it was certainly a night to remember. Especially the 360 degree camera podium!

Vivid Sydney 2024

We braved the elements to see another stunning Leila Jeffries installation as part of the Vivid Festival. If you are short on time, we recommend Barangaroo Headland and Circular Quay this year.

It's a good thing we don't retouch with our feet.

Roof climbing and rock climbing equals broken bones and moon boots. Some members of our team are a little too adventurous in their spare time!

Chris Ireland - All Things Considered - 27th March 2023

We were honoured to attend the launch of ‘All Things Considered’, a 10 year long project by Chris Ireland. Documenting the community of the social housing high-rise called Greenway, it’s a collection of beautiful images and footage that let the residents tell their own life stories.

Cream Christmas Party 2023 - Anason Restaurant Barangaroo

This year we celebrated Christmas at Anason in Barangaroo and it was a night to remember! The restaurant's chic, waterfront setting was the perfect backdrop for our festive gathering. The wine and cocktails flowed and the spread of Turkish cuisine was truly amazing!

Head On Photo Festival is always an incredible celebration of new and established photographers. There were some wonderful photos on display at Bondi Beach, but our favourite ‘secret’ little spot is the Paddington Reservoir Gardens - check it out! The Cream Team had a enjoyable (and covetous) time at Sun Studios annual exhibition - This Time It’s Personal. Featuring 76 photographic works by some of Australia’s most renowned photographers, they’re available at rare prices to support the GO Foundation.

The Hallway certainly caught people’s attention with this teaser campaign for the news that Kate Ritchie would be joining Fitzy & Wippa Nova 96.9’s breakfast show. Taking inspiration from the cover art of Queen’s album 'The Miracle', we certainly had fun creating this image!

Chris Ireland Exhibition - The Gift - 15th February 2023

As many of the Cream team come from an arts background, we were inspired by Chris’s dedication to the alchemy and hard work that goes into each hand-made photographic print, and the story of their making. So much so, Pieter purchased one of the images!

Rone Exhibition Melbourne - 10th Feb 2023

We finally made it to Melbourne for a Rone exhibition, and this one is his most stunning and ambitious yet! Set in the abandoned third floor of Flinders Street Station, Time is an installation with 12 separate stories - told with Rone’s signature murals and a vast catalogue of forgotten detritus. The atmosphere and level of detail they have created is exquisite, down to tiny mementos and spiders webs.

KIA in Good Weekend - 14th Jan 2023

What a great campaign to kick off 2023 with! These stunning shots by Ian Butterworth are on billboards all over the country - the cherry on top was to see a double page spread in the Good Weekend.

Rabbits at Star Casino - 24th January 2023

It was fun to see the 2D print ad that we worked on brought to life in the form of giant 3D printed bunnies! Popping up all over the Star Casino for the Year of the Rabbit - hop on down to check them out ;)

Do Ho Suh Exhibition MCA - 8th January 2023

We had heard good things about this exhibition, and it didn’t disappoint. The scale and details of the work were incredible, yet ephemeral - and very difficult to convey with a photograph! Definitely worth a visit - it’s on until the 27th of February.

Ingvar Movie Premier - The Land - 9th November 2022

It’s not often you get to attend a movie premier, so it was an honour to be invited to view this labour of love by acclaimed photographer Ingvar Kenne. Starring Steve Rodgers, Anna Lise Phillips and Cameron Stewart, this atmospheric film shows the stunning Australian landscape as a backdrop to unsettling personal revelations and relationships.

Murray Fredricks talk - Head On Photo Festival - 5th November 2022

We were lucky to get tickets to the premiere screening of a new documentary about the incredible landscape photographer Murray Fredricks. His latest work is called ‘Blaze’, and the documentary takes us on a journey with him, through flooded lakes and river systems, and the heavy lifting and the mud that comes with it. Would highly recommend.

Lelia Jeffreys Olsen Gallery - October 2022

We’ve been a fan of Lelia Jeffreys work for a while now. The first viewing of her mesmerising video work ‘Temple’ was at the Sydney Vivid Festival. Viewing it at the Olsen gallery this time, we fell in love with it all over again. A collaboration between Leila Jeffreys and Melvin J Montalban, the slow motion film is over 6 minutes long, and well worth your time.

This was a big campaign with some beautiful images shot by Ian Butterworth, so it was gratifying to see it on the cover of September’s Campaign Brief.

Pandemonium Toby Burrows Exhibition - 4th August 2022

The Cream Team thoroughly enjoyed opening night at this brilliant exhibition by photographer Toby Burrows. The textural hand manipulation of each piece adds another layer to each image - it takes a brave artist to crease such beautiful works! Sun Studios, Friday 5th August to Saturday 27th August.

Uber Eats Mural - Bondi Beach

It's been amazing to walk the streets of the city and see the Irwins Uber Eats campaign everywhere. So when we heard that one of the images had been turned into a mural at Bondi Beach, we took a trip down there to check it out!

Picasso Exhibition - NGV Melbourne - 18th June 2022

Lee flew down to Melbourne for an art and food weekend centred around the Picasso exhibition (on display at the NGV until the 9th of October). On the way to the gallery she spotted 2 of our ads in prominent positions right outside Flinders Street Station - very exciting!

Rozanna joins Cream - 10th May 2022

So happy to welcome rockstar Roz to the Cream Team! She has many feathers to her cap, and plenty of experience in the industry - a brilliant addition.

Sydney Bienalle 2022

The Bienalle ‘Rivus’ is spread across a variety of locations this year, and it’s definitely worth checking out the installations in The Cutaway at Barangaroo. Also of note are the smaller detailed works at Pier 2/3 in the Walsh Bay.
